The End of Manual Wax Patterns.
Hand-waxing a post and core is time-consuming and prone to distortion. China Dental Labo utilizes advanced CAD workflows to design Digital Post & Cores that fit passively yet retentively. By 3D printing the pattern in Castable Wax/Resin, you achieve a denser casting with zero rocking.
Technical Engineering Specifications
Designing a post requires understanding root anatomy. We engineer solutions even for complex, divergent canals:
Fit & Retention
- Cement Gap Control: We set a precise cement spacer (e.g., 0.04mm) to ensure the post slides fully into the canal without hydraulic pressure buildup.
- Anti-Rotation: Keyways are designed into the core to prevent rotation on single-rooted teeth.
- Ferrule Effect: We optimize the core design to respect the 2mm ferrule rule for long-term structural integrity.
Complex Solutions
- Split-Core (Lock & Key): For divergent multi-rooted molars, we design a 2-piece “Split-Cast” post. The primary post is seated first, followed by the secondary locking post.
- Scan Post Workflow: We align the digital post to your specific Scan Post library (3Shape/Exocad) for accurate depth and angulation.
Materials & Applications
Our STL files are optimized for your preferred manufacturing method:
- 3D Printed Resin/Wax: Print and burnout for traditional Gold/Metal casting.
- Milled Zirconia: For aesthetic cases (requires specific block geometry).
- Milled Hybrid: Fiber-reinforced composite blocks.
Seamless Digital Workflow
- Scan: Insert “Scan Posts” into the canals and scan. (Direct canal scanning is not recommended due to depth).
- Prescribe: Specify “One-piece” or “Split-Cast” and the desired core reduction.
- Design: We deliver the STL file overnight.
- Print & Cast: Print in your lab, invest, and cast.
Comparison: Traditional vs. Digital
