While digital dentistry is growing, many complex cases still require a physical model to verify contacts, occlusion, and ceramic layering. China Dental Labo offers a specialized Implant Model Design Service that turns your IOS scans into printable files. We handle the complex library management so you can focus on printing and finishing.
Technical Engineering Specifications
The success of a printed model lies in the “Offset” settings. We calibrate our designs to match your specific printer and resin to ensure the Analog doesn’t spin or crack the model:
Analog & Tissue Management
- Analog Fit (Offset): We adjust the internal diameter (e.g., +0.03mm or +0.05mm) based on your printer’s shrinkage factor.
- Removable Gingiva (Soft Tissue): We design a separate “Gingiva Mask” STL. This allows you to remove the soft tissue to inspect the implant margin and replace it to check emergence profiles.
- Drainage Holes: Air-escape channels are added to the bottom of the analog socket to ensure fully seated analogs.
Model Architecture
- Hollow Models: We hollow out the model (2-3mm wall thickness) to save you resin costs and speed up printing time.
- Articulator Interface: We can add 3Shape/Exocad articulator pins or print the model with a specific base (e.g., Vertex, Baumann) for mounting.
- ID Tagging: Patient Name and Case ID are embossed on the side of the model for easy identification.

We support all major “Digital Analog” libraries used in the US market. Simply tell us which library you have in stock:
- 3rd Party: Elos Medtech, Dess, TruAbutment, Nt-Trading, Preat.
- OEM: Nobel Biocare, Straumann, Zimmer Biomet, BioHorizons.
Seamless Digital Workflow
- Scan: Upload Intraoral Scans (Upper/Lower/Bite).
- Prescribe: Specify the Implant System and the Analog Brand you use (e.g., “Nobel Active RP using Elos Analogs”).
- Design: We deliver 3 STL files: Model, Gingiva Mask, and Antagonist.
- Print: Print, wash, cure, and insert your analogs.
