Better Support. Less Fractures.
A ceramic restoration is only as strong as the framework beneath it. Many outsourced designs fail because they leave the porcelain unsupported, leading to chipping or cracking. At China Dental Labo, our Dental Coping Design Service focuses on “Cut-back Engineering”.
We don’t just reduce the tooth shape; we anatomically support the cusps. Whether you are creating a PFM (Porcelain Fused to Metal) or a PFZ (Zirconia substructure), our designs ensure a uniform layer of porcelain (e.g., 1.0mm – 1.5mm) for maximum aesthetics and durability.
Technical Engineering Specifications
We tailor the coping parameters to your specific manufacturing workflow (SLM Printing or Milling):
Structural Parameters
- Minimum Thickness: 0.3mm (Metal) or 0.5mm (Zirconia) to ensure castability/milling integrity.
- Margin Reinforcement: Options for metal collars (lingual/360°) or disappearing margins based on your preference.
- Connector Design: For bridges, we maximize the connector surface area (min 9mm²) without impinging on the gingiva.
Porcelain Support
- Anatomic Reduction: We design full contour first, then reduce evenly to create the perfect canvas for your ceramists.
- Rest Seats & Attachments: Precision milling for partial denture rests or attachment integration included at no extra cost.
Seamless Digital Workflow
- Scan: Upload your scans. Indicate if you need a specific cement gap (e.g., 0.03mm for SLM).
- Prescribe: Specify the material (Co-Cr, Titanium, Zirconia) and the type of finish line.
- Design: We deliver the open STL file overnight.
- Produce: Print directly on your SLM metal printer or Mill in your Zirconia unit.
