We configure the tray parameters based on the clinical procedure to ensure ease of use and accuracy:
For Implant Cases
- Open Tray Design: We design precise openings over the implant sites for easy access to impression coping screws.
- Rigidity: We increase wall thickness (e.g., 2.5mm – 3.0mm) to prevent tray flexion during removal, ensuring the implant position is captured accurately.
For Denture Cases
- Border Molding Clearance: We design the tray flanges 2mm short of the vestibule to allow space for proper muscle trimming (border molding) with compound or heavy body.
- Tissue Stops: Strategically placed stops ensure the tray seats to the correct depth without compressing the tissue.
Design Features
- Uniform Offset: Typically 2-3mm spacer for impression material.
- Undercut Block-out: Automatic block-out ensures the tray doesn’t lock into the patient’s mouth.
- Integrated Handle: Ergonomic handle designed for easy insertion and removal.
Seamless Digital Workflow
- Scan: Upload the preliminary Intraoral Scan or Model Scan.
- Prescribe: Specify “Implant” or “Denture” and your preferred spacer thickness.
- Design: We deliver the STL file overnight.
- Print: Print in-house using low-cost PLA filament or Standard Resin.
